Error 5555 (Cinema Series 2)
Often misdiagnosed as a dead LPM board. In most cases it is degradation of the thermal compound on the DMD heatsink or an ICP backplane seating issue. We rebuild these units, saving £10,000+ on replacement costs.
Laser Bank Power Imbalance
Individual diode current drift causes colour shift and reduced brightness. We rebalance the laser array, replace degraded diodes, and recalibrate white point to DCI specification.
Liquid Cooling Failure (UDX/F-Series)
Glycol coolant degrades over 3-5 years, becoming acidic and causing galvanic corrosion. This triggers Error 1151 (pump seizure) or rapid thermal shutdown. We flush the entire loop, replace the pump, and vacuum-fill with inhibited glycol.
Phosphor Wheel Degradation
The phosphor layer physically degrades after 15,000+ hours, causing severe green/blue colour shift. Electronic correction can only mask this temporarily. Definitive repair is phosphor wheel replacement and full white-point recalibration.
DMD Optical Engine Alignment Drift
Thermal cycling causes micromirror misalignment, visible as soft focus or convergence errors. We perform precision optical realignment in our clean room environment to factory specifications.
IMS Media Server Errors
Integrated Cinema Media Processor boot failures, RAID disk errors (E200), and invalid KDM errors (E150). We diagnose ICMP/ICMP-X issues and perform firmware recovery or board-level repair.
