Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website at laserprojectorrepair.co.uk and the projector repair services provided by Wells Electronics Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website or booking a repair service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.
2. Repair Services
Wells Electronics Ltd provides specialist component-level projector repair services for commercial, educational, and cinema projection equipment.
- All repairs include a 90-day warranty on parts and labour, unless otherwise stated.
- We do not guarantee same-day or next-day turnaround. Repair times vary depending on fault complexity, parts availability, and current workload.
- Estimates provided before inspection are non-binding and indicative only. A firm quotation will be provided after our engineers have diagnosed the fault.
- We reserve the right to decline any repair at our discretion, including units that are beyond economical repair or have been previously worked on by unauthorised technicians.
3. Booking & Collection
We offer free collection within mainland UK for repair bookings. The following conditions apply:
- You must package the projector securely in adequate protective material (original packaging preferred). The unit must be cushioned to prevent movement in transit.
- We are not liable for damage caused during transit due to inadequate packaging. We strongly recommend retaining all original packaging materials.
- Collection will be arranged by our nominated courier partner. You must ensure someone is available at the collection address during the agreed time window.
- International shipping and non-mainland UK addresses may incur additional charges. Please contact us for a quotation.
4. Payment
Payment for repair services is due within 14 days of the invoice date. We accept the following payment methods:
- BACS bank transfer (preferred)
- Debit/credit card via Square Up
Late payments will incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to withhold return of repaired equipment until full payment is received.
5. Warranty
All completed repairs are covered by a 90-day warranty on parts and labour from the date of return delivery.
The warranty does NOT cover:
- Physical damage, impact damage, or mishandling after return
- Liquid damage or ingress of foreign substances
- Lamp or bulb failure (lamps are consumable items)
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs attempted by third parties
- Issues arising from improper installation or operation
The warranty is void if any warranty seal or tamper-evident label is removed, broken, or defaced. Warranty claims must be reported within the warranty period and the unit returned to us for inspection.
Your sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty is free recollection and re-repair of the device. We do not offer refunds after repair under any circumstances — please see the No Refund Policy section below.
6. No Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds after a repair has been carried out. This policy is strict and applies in all cases.
Once your projector has been repaired, tested and invoiced, the repair fee is earned in full and is non-refundable. No full or partial refunds, credits, or chargebacks will be accepted for completed repair work, regardless of the reason for the request.
If your device develops a fault covered by our 90-day warranty, our remedy — and your only remedy — is as follows:
- We will recollect the device from you free of charge (UK mainland)
- We will re-repair the device at no cost to you, including parts and labour
- We will return the repaired device to you with the remainder of the original warranty period intact
Under no circumstances does a warranty claim, a recurring fault, or dissatisfaction with a completed repair entitle you to a refund. The warranty provides re-repair only — no refund will be given.
By approving your repair quotation and instructing us to proceed, you expressly acknowledge and accept this No Refund Policy. If you do not accept it, please do not proceed with the repair.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights where they cannot lawfully be excluded. For business customers, services are supplied under business-to-business terms and consumer cancellation rights do not apply.
7. Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any repair service shall be limited to the total amount paid for that specific repair.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:
- Consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of business revenue
- Loss of data or software stored on or connected to the equipment
- Downtime costs, event cancellation, or venue hire losses
- Any indirect, incidental, or special damages arising from the repair service
We hold £2 million professional indemnity insurance for your peace of mind. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Returns
If we are unable to repair your projector, we will return the unit to you at no repair charge. You will only be responsible for any return shipping fees if applicable.
All repaired units must be collected or accepted for return delivery within 30 days of completion notification. Units not collected within 90 days may be disposed of at our discretion.
