Warranty Policy

Last updated: 14 June 2025 · Version 2.0

1. Standard Repair Warranty

Every repair carried out by Wells Electronics Ltd (trading as "Laser Projector Repair") is covered by our standard 90-day repair warranty from the date of return delivery. This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer and does not affect them.

The 90-day warranty covers:

  • The specific repair work performed and any parts replaced during that repair
  • Labour associated with re-addressing the same fault should it recur
  • Collection and return shipping costs where the fault is covered by the warranty
  • Calibration and testing performed as part of the original repair scope

2. What Our Warranty Covers

Our warranty protection includes the following scenarios:

  • Recurrence of the original fault: if the same fault symptoms return within the warranty period and our diagnosis confirms the repair has failed
  • Premature component failure: if a replacement part fails before the end of the warranty period under normal operating conditions
  • workmanship defects: any defect arising from the quality of our technical work or installation procedures
  • Calibration drift: if calibration settings drift beyond manufacturer specifications within the warranty period (for calibration services only)
  • Post-repair testing failure: if the projector fails our standard post-repair test suite within the warranty period

3. What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage caused by mishandling, improper installation, or failure to follow manufacturer operating guidelines
  • Power surges, electrical faults, or lightning damage to the installation environment
  • Environmental damage including water ingress, dust contamination beyond rated IP levels, or exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Faults arising in components unrelated to the original repair, unless explicitly identified during diagnosis
  • Projectors that have been opened, modified, or repaired by a third party since our repair
  • Normal wear and tear, including lamp degradation in hybrid systems and filter clogging
  • Software or firmware issues not directly caused by our repair work
  • Consumable items such as air filters, thermal paste, or cleaning materials
  • Damage during transit where the customer arranged their own shipping
